A sacred day for Christians, Easter is a symbol of hope, renewal and growth.

The day marks the resurrection of Jesus Christ after he was crucified.

At the World Harvest Centre yesterday, 250 youths re-enacted the ordeal Jesus Christ endured on Mount Calvary centuries ago.

Head of Production, Vasiti Seru, 31, said time was not on their side as they had to complete such hard production in just eight days.

“It was definitely not easy for us but to see that people were emotional as our performance touched their hearts, was overwhelming,” she said.

“We did not lose faith as everything is possible with God. We are blessed to have minister to thousands of people here about the life of Jesus.”

Resurrection Day March

In Nadi, members of the Namaka Methodist Church congregation braved the hot sun for a march led by Reverend Peniasi Tora.

The march began from Fiji Airways Academy bus stop in Namaka to the Kenani Methodist Church in Malawai housing.
