Hillmen Wary Of Rewa

Defending INKK Fiji Rugby Farebrother-Trophy champions Naitasiri used their Easter weekend to reset and refocus on their next game.
After winning their last four matches the Highlanders are aware that the pressure is mounting on them.
Tomorrow, they defend the prestigious Farebrother-Trophy against an improved Rewa side that held Nadroga 28-28 in their Skipper Fiji Rugby Championship clash.
Speaking to SUNsports, Naitasiri team manager Maciu Koroiqaqa said they know the importance of this clash against the unpredictable Rewa side.
“The Skipper Cup games are getting tougher so it is time for us to get our feet on the ground and work hard for our next games,” Koroiqaqa said.
“We have a short turnaround time to try and improve on many things.
“We know most teams will be after us. Having a bye last week was a blessing for us because we wanted some of our players to rest and recover from their injuries.
“At the same time we had our team bonding sessions and put on some good training programmes. It’s good to get a win and remain consistent.”
He indicated that have set a standard and need to lift it to another level.
“Naitasiri won’t take Rewa lightly. Rewa is an old foe that have provided a lot of competition to us in the past.
“This is the Farebrother challenge and we are not underestimating Rewa.
“They are a champion with seasoned players that will be tough to contain. Rewa will come out firing and we will have to be ready for them.”
