Two Tiers Of $20 Tickets For Drua Game

Two new tiers of tickets have been introduced for the blockbuster Super Rugby Pacific match in Suva, next Saturday, April 30.
This will make it even more accessible for fans to watch the Swire Shipping Fijian Drua take on the Highlanders at the ANZ Stadium in Suva. In response to calls for tickets to be more affordable, the Fijian Drua has created new categories at the ANZ Stadium with ticket prices to suit.
- The Waitui Zone, which is the grass embankment towards the Nasese seawall side will sell for $20 for adults and $10 for kids under 12.
- The concrete embankment has been split into lower and upper levels, with the lower level seating category (“Matasawa zone”) priced at $40 for adults and $20 for kids under 12.
- The higher level seating on the concrete embankment, which are best viewing seats on that side of the ground, remain categorized as Silver and priced at $75 flat.
The new categories will be available for sale from today April from the Fiji Sports Council Suva Office, Post Fiji outlets Fiji-wide, and a number of Jack’s of Fiji outlets on Viti Levu.
Fijian Drua chief executive officer Brian Thorburn said: “We’ve said in the past week that we are listening and learning. The feedback from fans with a genuine desire to cheer on their favourite Drua players against Aaron Smith and the Highlanders was for more affordable ticket tiers.
“We have worked quickly to create new ticket categories in a way that wouldn’t impact patrons who have bought the Bronze and Silver tickets already. Those zones retain their pricing because of locations relative to the new categories introduced today.”
Thorburn added: “It has always been our desire to allow fans to watch our players take on the best in the world right here in Fiji. We have listened and now responded to the feedback regarding ticket pricing with a new cheaper category.
“We believe this move makes our Suva match one of the most affordable matches in the Super Rugby Pacific competition. In doing so, we have ensured that our valued patrons who have purchased Bronze and Silver tickets don’t feel short-changed in any way.
“We’re very confident that the new $20 and $40 tickets will sell out quickly, so we encourage rugby lovers to get their hands on these limited seats as soon as they can.
