The Anginesh Prasad coached- Lautoka football will not leave any stones unturned when they host Tailevu/Naitasiri in tomorrow’s Digicel Premier League clash at Churchill Park.

Lautoka Football Association official Muni Rajan said majority of their players were played during the 93rd TIV Sangam Interdistrict Championship during the Easter weekend.

The players Zibraaz Shahib, Samuel Gavo, James Pillay, and Muni Shivam Reddy were part of the Lautoka TIV side that retained the title while nippy Edward Justin featured for Rifle Range TIV.

“We will have a full-strength team and we are set to play as the boys were back training,” Rajan said.

“It is back to preparation and we are looking forward to a tough match. After the World Cup playoffs, the boys only played against Nasinu. After the Easter break, we will be back for more action.

We urge our fans to come out in numbers to support the team in their home game.”
The Blues are in ninth spot with six points from two wins and a loss.

Nasinu to test Ba

Meanwhile, at the same venue, Ba under new coach Imdad Ali face Nasinu at 1pm. Ali who is not new to the role as he was with the side in 2016.

Ba Football confirmed that Ali would be assisted by schoolteacher Daniel Krishneel and Kiniviliame Naika who were both former reps as well.

Ali led Lautoka to win their 6th DPL title last season. This was after Lautoka’s combination was set-up by former coach Tagi Vonolagi, who is now Suva’s technical advisor.

Ba are on third spot on the points table with 12 points from four wins and three losses.
