Ram Sami Suva secured their second win by beating Namosi 20-15 in their Skipper Fiji Rugby Championship clash at Thomson Park, Navua, this afternoon.

What happened: The hosts took a 3-0 lead in the fourth minute from Kalisito Sawani penalty.

It took for the visitors to settle down and took the lead in the 20th minute from a try from lock Manoa Tamaya with Setareki Raoba landing the conversion.

In the 23rd minute Namosi regained the lead 8-7 from an unconverted try to centre Alipate Waidilo.

Nippy Suva halfback Josaia Tagivetaua dived over for a try with Raoba converting.

Halftime: Namosi 8-14 Suva

It was scrappy start to the second half.

The Namosi forwards dominated play and scored a try through tighthead prop Isoa Vasukibulu with the extra from the conversion for a 15-14 lead.

Indiscipline play marred Namosi game as they penalised for a number of high tackles and Raoba punished them by kicking over two penalties for the win.

Comment: Suva manager, Nemani Tuifagalele said: “This was a must win for us. We wanted a bonus win, but a win is a win. We looking forward to host Nadroga in our next game.”
