Public Has Seven Days To Submit To Elections Office Any Objections

Members of the public have seven days to go through the registration details of the proposed New Generation Party (NGP) and submit any objections they may have.

Details of the proposed party’s registration, how and where a public member can submit their objections, are published in today’s Fiji Sun edition.

The proposed party is headquartered in Tavakubu Road, Tavakubu, Lautoka, and goes by the proposed acronym NGP.

The proposed circular party symbol represents a shield depicting the protection of human rights while the three stars depict the three arms of the State.

The alphabet ‘O’ represents Oneness and an equal voice in an all-encompassing and inclusive governance structure and the multiple shades of grey represents the unity of a multiracial and multicultural new generation.

The following members are the executive office holders of the

proposed party:

  • President – Wane Moli Veiba;
  • Vice President – Babitu Ledua;
  • Registered Officer – Frederick Babitu Kataiwai;
  • Personnel Manager – Simione Leitabu;
  • Treasurer – Ranjina Kaur; and
  • Compliance/Internal Auditor – Ratu Isireli Dausiga.

According to the Fijian Elections Office, there are eight registered parties so far – FijiFirst Party, Social Democratic Liberal Party, Fiji Labour Party, National Federation Party, Unity Fiji Party, Freedom Alliance Party, We Unite Fiji Party and The People’s Alliance Party
