Passama Offloads 336 Vehicles At Suva Port

Vehicle carrier Passama called into Fiji’s Suva Port last week to offload 336 vehicles.
Sailing under the flag of Marshall Islands, this vessel sails to Fiji on a monthly basis.
Fiji Ports Terminal head of corporate services, Salesh Kumar said the vessel arrived on April 23 to offload new and second-hand vehicles.
Mr Kumar said this vessel is one of four vehicle carriers that are scheduled to arrive this month.
He adds that the outbreak of COVID cases in Shanghai, may have cause some disruptions to the supply chain.
“Normally, if there is a disruption in the supply chain, its effect will be felt by all stakeholders in the supply chain.”
“Similarly, if the port operations are affected due to COVID 19 outbreak, it could have a impact on the logistical chain between the mentioned destination and Fiji Ports.”
