Suva One Dominate Youth Netball

Suva One dominated the PacificAus Sports Fiji Netball Youth Championship after thrashing Secondary Schools 44-18 in the final last Saturday at the Vodafone Arena in Suva
Suva One are laced with extended Fijian Pearls squad members like shooter Elina Drikibau. mid-court players Anatolia Bolakoro and Avelina Navue were unbeaten over the two days meet.
The Secondary Schools team consisted of top players from high schools including Adi Cakobau School and Suva Grammar.
Also in the Secondary Schools team was a student form the Ba Provincial Freebird Institute.
In the standings; Lautoka finished third while Nadi was placed fourth.
In fifth place was Suva Two while Nasinu One took the sixth place.
In the seventh position was Nadi Two who beat Nasinu Two, 25-13, in the playoff. While Nadroga One and two finished in the bottom two.
Meanwhile, Nadroga Under-21 coach, Sailasa Cagi, has applauded Netball Fiji for providing a national platform to expose the talents of youth players
“This is a good exposure for the girls, great experience and on top of that playing with the girls from Suva where they get to learn more,” Cagi said.

Finals: Suva One 44-18 Secondary Schools; 3rd/4th Playoff: Lautoka 32 – 24 Nadi One; 5th/6th: Suva Two 29-21 Nasinu One; 7th/8th: Nadi Two 25-13 Nasinu Two; 9th/10th: Nadroga One 29-17 Nadroga Two.
