The Wallson Suva women’s senior team is facing Namosi as curtain raiser for the Swire Shipping Fijian Drua and Highlanders Super Rugby Pacific match tomorrow at the ANZ Stadium, Suva.

This was confirmed yesterday by Drua chief executive officer Brian Thorburn.

The ANZ Marama championship match kicks off at 1pm while the Super Rugby game kicks off at 4:35pm.

“Hopefully it will be an attractive addition to our crowds and fans for the Drua team,” Thorburn said.

“We’d love to have the Fijiana Drua in a double header with this game but logistics proved it’s not possible.

“They will be playing on Sunday in Australia against Japan.”

“We tried to move that match to Fiji and unfortunately it was too late to make the changes.”

“We acknowledge and congratulate Fijiana, we wish them all the very best against Japan.

“We hope that having an ANZ Marama championship match is a way of recognising the great progress and success of our women’s rugby in Fiji generally.”
