Suva Women Retain Rugby Lead

Wallson Suva have maintained their unbeaten run in the ANZ Marama championship after beating Namosi 20-8 at the ANZ Stadium today.
The match was the curtain raiser for the Super Rugby Pacific match between Highlanders and the Swire Shipping Fijian Drua.
Suva flanker Vitalini Mirini opened the scores for Suva however the unsuccessful conversion from first five eighth Mereoni Moceituba had them leading 5-0.
The capital city women scored their second try while Namosi slotted in a penalty before the breather by second five eighth Wainikiti Tuwaqa.

Tuwaqa missed another two conversions for Namosi and scores remained 10-3 in the opening minutes of the second half.
Suva extended their lead through anothet try by lock Nellie Mairata. Suva 15-3 Namosi.
Namosi replied with a try from fullback Wainikiti Gonevulavula and narrowed the score 15-8.
Suva winger Vika Naibena nailed the win with another try returning home with the 20-8 victory.
