The drivers and passengers of two vehicles were rushed to the hospital following a motor vehicle accident in Tamavua yesterday afternoon.

This was confirmed by Police spokesperson Constable Wame Bautolu who said the accident happened at around 12.30pm.

Blood could be seen on the air bag and the right side of the black car, which was badly damaged.

Eye witness taxi driver, Vinay Monish Kumar, said everything happened so fast.

“The silver car was going towards Nausori and the black car was going towards Suva. The silver car was speeding and lost control of the car and turned into the other lane and hit the black car,” Mr Kumar said.

“The driver of the black car was badly injured. His right leg was bleeding heavily.

“In the silver car, on the passenger seat a woman and a baby were sitting there.”
