Five countries have confirmed their participation in the Oceania Netball World Cup Qualifiers (ONWCQ) to be hosted by Netball Fiji in July.

The five countries are Fiji, Tonga, Samoa, Cook Island and Papua New Guinea.

NF Chief Executive Officer, Vivian Koster on Monday confirmed that the event will be held at the Vodafone Arena from July 18-23.

Australia and New Zealand have already secured their spots in the 2023 Netball World Cup which will be held in Cape Town, South Africa.

The World Cup will be held on July 28 to August 6 with the following teams expected to participate Australia, England, New Zealand, Jamaica, South Africa and Malawi.

Meanwhile, hosts Fiji are expected to make a comeback after their dismal performance at the PacificAusSports Netball Series in Sydney in March.

Fiji lost to minnows Tonga 6052 in the final.

The other two countries that took part in the series were Samoa and Papua New Guinea.

“The Fiji Pearls national squad march into camp a week before the qualifiers,” Koster said
