Nasinu Sangam School head prefects say they have made their parents proud.
The two head students, Kelera Naitini and Ishan Maharaj will lead more than 900 students.
Kelera, 12, dedicated her achievement to her parents and thanked them for the sacrifices they had made.
Kelera said she wanted to give back to her parents.
“My mum is a clerk and my dad is a plumber,” she said.
“My parents always try their best to get things for my brother and I to make us happy like putting food on the table with the little they have.
Head boy, Ishan,13, shared similar sentiments.
“My father is a mechanic and my mum stays home,” he said.
“I have seen my father work overtime to provide us with a better life and I dedicate this achievement to my parents.”
