No End To Marketing Fiji, Says Australian Buyer

“We do a lot of promotions in the social channels and newspapers advertising but to be honest at the moment we didn’t have to do advertising because Fiji was the first country to open for Australians to travel to and we have had an overwhelming response just to travel to Fiji, we can’t keep up.”

Australian buyer from Sydney, Stephanie Jones  says there won’t be an end to promoting the beautiful island of Fiji.

Ms Jones is a product manager with Hoot Holidays, a wholesale travel company dealing with hotels in Fiji on deals and getting customers on a vacation.

She said 90% of their business was on Fiji.

“So it doesn’t really stop for us and Fiji is our focus this year and we are just here to keep pushing Fiji,” said Ms Jones.

“Australians come here because of the weather and the people, they have been locked up for two years and they just want to go on holiday and to escape the cold weather.”

“We do a lot of promotions in the social channels and newspapers advertising but to be honest at the moment we didn’t have to do advertising because Fiji was the first country to open for Australians to travel to and we have had an overwhelming response just to travel to Fiji, we can’t keep up.”

She added the environment at the Fijian Tourism Expo 2022 was welcoming as it had been after two long years following the COVID-19 pandemic.

“The environment has been fantastic to be back, I was here in March for a couple of days where we had masks in the hotels and we couldn’t see the big beautiful smiles of the Fijians and now it has been really nice with restrictions being relaxed a little bit more,” she added.
