Head Prefects Aim for Zero Disciplinary Issues

Mahatma Gandhi Memorial High School head prefects are aiming to achieve zero disciplinary issues and a better learning environment.
Bhavin Patel and Meeshal Prasad are the new head prefects of the Suva-based school. They would lead about 1000 students this 2022 academic year.
A leadership role for Bhavin, 18, is nothing new, however being the head boy of MGM High School was something different for him.
“I feel very honoured to be the head boy of such a prestigious institution,” he said.
“Being in class 3 or class 4, I never expected to be the head boy, but once I became the head boy in primary school, the momentum started to build up.”
He said his leadership roles in the previous years helped him become a better leader.
“One thing I have learnt is that shouting and being rude to students will make the situation worse; we need to be humble and explain things to them.
“I want to create a better learning environment by distributing my responsibilities with other leaders.”
He dedicated his achievements to his parents and sister for encouraging him.
Bhavish is known to have scored the highest mark at his school for the Year 12 examination.
Meanwhile, head girl Meeshal Prasad said she would ensure there were no disciplinary issues in school.
She dedicated her achievements to her two sisters and parents.
The 18-year-old scored 389/400 in the Year 12 examination and wants to pursue further studies in the medical field.
