Ram Sami Suva rugby prop Mateo Qolisese scored two tries in their 49-0 win over a hapless Rewa side at Burebasaga ground today.

The bonus point win has boosted Suva’s chance for a spot in the playoffs.

What happened: Veteran Suva fullback Enele Malele opened the scores for the Capital City side with a penalty in the sixth minute.

Minutes later he scored a try and converted it for a 10-0 lead.

Malele extended Suva’s lead in the 32nd minute with another penalty.

Halftime: Rewa 0-13 Suva

Suva No.8 Jiuta Takubu further extended Suva’s lead to 18-0 in the opening minutes of the second half with a try.

In the 49th minute Suva scored their third try through Enesi Waqanisau to extend their lead to 23-0.

Qolisese scored Suva’s bonus point try with Malele’s conversion bringing the scores to Suva 30-0.

Takubu was sin binned in the 65th and was joined by Rewa lock Kinijioji Lagilagi in the 69th minute.

Qolisese scored his second try in the 71st minute as Suva led 35-0.

Rewa played with 14 men after Esala Vakatekau was red carded.

Vatiliai Dulaki dived over for a try as Suva went further ahead 42-0 with the conversion going over.

Kolinio Bulabalavu nailed Suva’s win with the final try and Jone Manu converted it for a 49-0.
