Their presence have been a boost for secondary schools students and teachers in the country.

On Friday, Kaiviti Silktails executive director Stephen Driscoll and head of pathways Ben Tikosaya visited Ratu Kadavulevu School where they met the principal Ilaisa Tukana.

The Kaiviti Silktails are committing their fifth High Performance Gym in Fiji to the prestigious Tailevu boarding school.
The gym will be for students only, and the newly appointed principal spoke of the impact it will have not only on its sporting programmes but also for non-sporting students.

“Our students come from far and wide, and this gym will complement the raw athletic talent we have across all our sporting programmes,” he said.

“What I’m also encouraged about is the positive impact this will have on all our students during their time and this space will provide positive activity for them when they are away from the class room.”

Tikosaya confirmed that this would not be an official EDP Hub, but would allow for EDP recruits from RKS to complete their prescribed gym programming while in school.

“In the end we want this gym to have the same impact on student attendance and grades just as it did at Sigatoka Methodist College.” said Tikosaya.
Meanwhile, the Fiji Secondary Schools Rugby League competition continued on Marcellin Primary School ground in Vatuwaqa, Suva, today.
