Yilmaz: Fiji A Destination To Rest Body, Mind, Soul

An initial holiday visit to Fiji has evolved into a business venture for a Turkish-born businessman.
Tolga Yilmaz, the director of programmes and compliance for Ausphin, first visitedFiji in 2002.
Ausphin is an Australian education, training and recruitment agency, which operates a branch out ofNadi.
Mr Yilmaz was recently in the country to scout for skilled and semi-skilled workers to serve the Australian tourism sector.
His initial accommodation, when he arrived, was Shangri-La Yanuca Island, in Nadroga. Fiji has the X-factor, he said.
“You really feel good; you feel like you’re at home,” Mr Timaz said.
Certain of the restoration of normalcy after the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, henow promotes Fiji as a business destination.
“For people who are considering a change, we encourage them to come here for business and travel.”
“We tell them that there are opportunities that exist.”

Where In Fiji Would You Take Friends To?
Serenity Island Resort.
I love the serenity.
I believe that is what Fiji is about.
When you get to Fiji, you really do have the option to really just rest your mind, your body, your soul.
I know for a fact that a lot of Australians are choosing Fiji for this.
If they want to party, they go to Bali.
Fiji is more about relaxing.

What Is Your Favourite Spot For Coffee Or Pie?
Port Denarau Marina covers everything from the morning coffee to dinner.
There is a local Fijian restaurant that serves local coconut crab, ugavule.

What’s Your Favourite Backyard Spot?
Cloud Nine.
The partying, swimming and the isolated location – there are times when you need that, especially coming from a very busy city like Sydney.

What Is One Place In Fiji That Is On Your Bucket List?
Mamanucas and the Yasawas.
It is like Maldives where the beach is untouched.
I like places where the scenery is untouched.
I would rather travel to great lengths for a touch of pristine and undiscovered destination, than take shorter trips to places that are often visited.
