Cyber Food To Launch App

Cyber Food, an online food delivery company, is launching a food app next week responding to the growing demand of the food delivery service in Suva, Lautoka and Nadi.
Cyber Food is a food service delivery company which started in 2018 and eventually grew at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Mr Shahzad said they secured help from the United Nations Capital Development Fund (UNCDF) which funded its online payment facility.
Customers can through Vodafone’s M-PAISA and it was look at further collaboration with Digicel’s My Cash platform.
Foodpreneur Zoom Sessions
The delivery service company targets restaurants, small and medium women entrepreneurs and home-based food catering businesses.
Cyber Food director, Majid Shahzad, said food service delivery was relatively new to Fiji and together with restaurant owners and food outlets they organised foodpreneur Zoom sessions to create awareness.
“We want to educate foodpreneurs and encourage them to partner with us, an independent food delivery service and help navigate them in the direction for their business to grow,” Mr Shahzad said.
“We are here to support small business entrepreneurs and provide the platform as to where you can go further with their business in the means of getting more customers.
Mr Shahzad said from the inception of the company, they have invested $100,000 for the start-up.
They have partnered with 139 eateries in the Capital, 89 in Nadi and 59 in Lautoka.
They are hoping to expand to Sigatoka, Taveuni and Vanua Levu.
“People also used our services for groceries and other essential items,” he said.
“Now, even international customers use our services to surprise their families back home.”
