President Inducts Excited Bua Central College Head Students

Newly inducted heads of Bua Central College in Vanua Levu were over excited when inducted by the President Ratu Wiliame Maivalili Katonivere yesterday.
Romanu Surumi and Taraivini Ranadi said it was the first time for them to see and meet the President who was also a former student.
Apart from being surprised to be named heads of the school, they dedicated their achievement to God and thanked him for giving them the opportunity to meet the President.
“For us students in the rural setting it is a proud moment to have the President as the chief guest,” Romanu, 19, of Somosomo, Taveuni Island said.
“I thank him for sacrificing his time to travel such a long way to be with us.”
The third eldest of five siblings said his father, an officer at Nabouwalu Police Station was proud of him for fulfilling his dream.
Head girl, Taraivini, 18, of Tavuloma Village in Bua thanked the teachers for selecting her.
“My father is a fisherman and mother does domestic duties,” the second eldest of three siblings said.
“For us as a family it is much more than just an achievement.”
Mr Katonivere said he was more than happy to induct 41 prefects.
“I have been in this school for four years as I share maternal links to Bua,” Mr Katonivere said.
“As the President this is my first time to attend a prefect induction.”
He advised students to always have and show respect.
