Let’s Go Local: 30yrs In Maritime Industry, Lakeba Island Top List

Captain Sesoni Komaisoso has been in the maritime industry for more than 30 years of which 18 was spent away from his family.
He is the Manager Ships Inspection at Maritime Safety Authority of Fiji.
To make up for lost times, he would take his family for a week-long trip to any place in Fiji.
He said tourists spent so much money to visit Fiji whereas most locals do not realise the beauty of our beloved country.
Its scenery, the fauna and flora there is to explore.

I have travelled to all the maritime ports and also to the interior of Viti Levu and Vanua Levu.

Lakeba in Lau to see the historical sites including the place where the first missionaries landed, the caves and to see the sunrise.
What Is Your Favourite Place For Coffee/Pie, And Why?
I enjoy my homemade coffee as my daughter and granddaughter know my preferred mix, and pie from a lady that sells pie at the office, that combination always makes my day.

My village in Lakeba, Lau where I go to for farming, fishing and to enjoy the relaxed environment.

I have been to places across Fiji and the world.
My bucket list is almost empty.
I am not a resort-type of person, however, I have really enjoyed the services and items offered at Sofitel Fiji Resort and Spa, Denarau Island.
