Focus is an area the All in One Builders Nadi football side are working on before their second pool game against Baker’s Fresh Lautoka.

Nadi beat Koromakawa Rentals & Tours Navua side 4-2 in their Digicel Fiji FACT group opener at the ANZ Stadium in Suva yesterday.

Speaking to SUNsports after the win Nadi coach Kamal Swamy said his players need to stay focused right to the final whistle.

“We had a good start by scoring three goals but then we switched off,” he said.

“We need to keep building our lead and also keep the pressure on. This is a good start for our campaign and we look forward to our game against Lautoka.

“We will have to work on our finishing and concentration level.”

Navua started strongly with striker Alfred Ali missing a golden scoring opportunity in the 10th minute.

Nadi recovered and came out firing and drew first blood in the 11th minute through a Barrie Limoki strike.

Nadi extended their lead when Eshan Kumar slotted in their second goal

Tuiba Batiratu blasted a shot from 25 metres out in the 76th minute to further extend Nadi’s lead to 3-0.

Navua pulled a goal back through Isake Naduvu as they trailed 3-1. Then Brian Charitar made it 3-2 with a classic goal in the 80th minute.

Nadi striker Jaygray Siparakana sealed Navua’s fate with a goal in the dying stages of the game..
