Take your chances by scoring goals when the opportunity presents itself, says RC Manubhai Ba football head coach Imdat Ali.

Ali made the comments after his young side lost 1-0 to RAM Cleaning Services/ All Freight Logistics Suva 1-0 in their Digicel Fiji FACT opener last Sunday.

The no-nonsense coach said the team have to take their chances if they are to win the tournament.

“We had so many goal scoring opportunities but we failed to turn them into points,” said Ali.

“Our striker Saula Waqa had about five chances to score. It is very important to score goals because it can change the course of the game. We have a young side and they are quickly settling in and our job is to keep pushing them.

“We controlled the game, we had a lot of possession and territory but we failed to capitalise. We have a lot of areas that need to be addressed.”

He added that they need to work with their strikers.

“These boys are young, fit and fast, so they just need a little adjustment. We have two days bye, but that does not mean we rest. We are going to work hard at training to make things right.”

Ali said their next pool opponent Tailevu/Naitasiri are on a high after beating Nasinu 2-1 in their opening game.
