Suva’s FACT Defence On Track

Defending Fiji FACT champions RAMS Cleaning Services/All Freight Logistics Suva side are on track with their title defence campaign.
The Babs Khan coached- side beat RC Manubhai Ba 1 – 0 in their group opener at the ANZ Stadium in Suva on Sunday.
The Capital City side will take on Nasinu in their second group match on Thursday at Lawaqa Park in Sigatoka.
Nasinu lost their opening game 2 – 1 to Tailevu/Naitasiri and will need to beat Suva to keep their chances of qualifying to the playoffs alive.
Both teams played fast-paced football from the opening whistle.
Ba came close to scoring a number of times but the Suva defenders led by veteran goalkeeper Akuila Mateisuva kept them at bay.
Suva striker Azariah Soromon missed a goal scoring opportunity in the dying stages of the first half as they were locked 0-0 at halftime.
Backed by their vocal supporters Suva kept on the pressure and in the 60th minute Simione Nabenu drove in their lone goal.
Meanwhile, 4R Electrical Labasa upset favourites Glamada Investments Rewa 2-1 in their clash last night.
A classic strike by Christopher Wasasala gave Rewa goalie Mohammed Alam no chance at all for a 1-0 lead.
Rewa equalised through Setareki Hughes but it was Wasasala who smacked home the winning goal.
