Politics Inspires Nadi Head Boy

Mohammad Azhar Khan’s dream to be a leader in school came true when he was badged Nadi Muslim College head boy.
The Year 13 student was inducted last Thursday as the head boy of the college and Aaeza Azeeza named head girl.
The 18-year-old son of a Viti Mini Bus driver said he had always dreamt to be a head of the school.
He said his interest was always on politics and anything to do with current affairs.
“I always love politics and anything to do with Fijian affairs or the education system,” he said.
He said he was inspired by leaders who have great influence.
“I have always been inspired by the leadership of the New Zealand Prime Minister, Jacinda Ardern,” he said.
“Also anyone who is in power who has great influence that benefits the people under their leadership.”
“My aim this year is to influence others to be the best they can be.”
Head girl, Azeeza, who is the daughter of a former head boy of the school said she wanted to follow in her father’s footsteps.
“I always wanted to be like my dad and lead students of a school. I am grateful for this opportunity,” she said.
Chief guest, Fiji Airports acting chief executive officer, Isei Tudreu told the school prefects that true leadership is about service, it is about inspiration, it is about purpose and it is about living a legacy.
