National football head coach Flemming Serritslev is expecting a good outing in the Digicel Fiji FACT semifinals on Saturday at Lawaqa Park, Sigatoka.

The 4R Electrical Labasa takes on R.C. Manubhai Ba at 2.30pm in the first semifinal, followed by defending champions Ram Cleaning Services/ All Freight Logistics Suva taking on Baker’s Fresh Breakfast Crackers Lautoka at 5pm. Serritslev indicated there were some good matches played over the weekend.

He said teams like Koromakawa Rentals & Tours Navua and All in One Builders Nadi displayed improvements during the competition.

“It will be a very exciting semifinal,” Serritslev said.

“We have had some other good teams. Even though Navua was out of the competition, they tried their best to win the game. Also Labasa versus Nadi was a very good match.”

The head coach helped the Babasiga Lions during their training last week, in the absence of coach, Ravneel Pratap.

“They were without their coach, who went back to take care of his job as a teacher,” Serritslev said.

“We worked on fast transition and on physical abilities.”

While he has not identified any new players yet, he hopes to hold a training camp on June 17 to prepare for some friendly games.

“We are watching all games, of course until now there has not really any new players except for the players we already have. But we will give them a chance at the training camp if they are identified,” he said.
