French media reports have indicated that Flying Fijians tighthead prop Peni Ravai suffered a serious neck injury, which could end his rugby career.
French newspaper La Montage stated; “Peni Ravai should leave ASM Clermont for medical reasons. Injured in the neck in recent weeks, Ravai should no longer be able to play rugby in France.”
His club Clermont indicated that Ravai is leaving them.
According to 5AIAL.com, there could still be hope for the 32-year-old Fijian.
It likened Ravai’s case to former France hooker Christopher Tolofua. He had neck problems and was banned from playing in France.
Tolofua underwent surgery and was able to return to France and represent the country again.
