Nasesevia Secondary School student, Jokaveti Ceiwa, wants to improve her time if she is to stand a chance of winning a medal at the Fiji Secondary Schools Athletics finals (known as the Coca-Cola Games).

Ceiwa who was named the Best Female Athlete of the Nadi Zone for the second time, is not carried away after winning gold medals in the senior girls, 800metres, 4x100m relay and 4x400m relay.

“I got 2 minutes 6 seconds in the 800m, 400m I got 53 seconds but I’ll need to improve on my time before the Cokes,” Varo said.

MEDAL TALLY

Girls division: Swami Vivekananda College, 29 gold, 7 silvers, 14 bronze medals; Nasesevia Secondary School, 11 gold, 7 silvers, 2 bronze; Korovuto College, 3 gold medals, 4 silvers and 2 bronze.

Boys division: Swami Vivekananda College: 18 gold medals, 18 silvers, 12 bronze: Nadi Sangam College: 10 gold medals, 12 silvers, 11 bronze: Nasesevia Secondary School: 6 gold medals, 2 silvers, 3 bronze.
