Poor set-piece play and indiscipline can prove costly for the young Nadroga side against Naitasiri in this Saturday’s Skipper Fiji Rugby Championship clash at Lawaqa Park, Sigatoka.

After their 24-10 win against Tailevu last Saturday, the Stallions host top of the table leaders Naitasiri.

The match could well be their dress-rehearsal for the Skipper semi-finals.

Speaking to SUNsports manager Sikeli Basiyawa said yellow cards is a main concern.

“Indiscipline is this team’s worst enemy,” Basiyawa said.

“We conceded two yellow cards, the number may be small but it punishes us as we play with a man down.

“We have to address this when we train from Monday.”

Basiyawa added that the Stallions have a very young side.

“We’ve a few experienced players to guide them,” he said.

“We have about two weeks to prepare for the Farebrother Trophy challenge.

“Before that we have a strong and experienced Naitasiri team coming down to Lawaqa Park. We have to work not only on our discipline but set-pieces as well.

“When a team doesn’t execute good set-pieces then frustrations occur that may cause indiscipline followed by the cards.

“We have to prepare well and bring a team that wants to win against Naitasiri.”

Meanwhile, 2016 Rio Olympic Games gold medallist, Jasa Veremalua, was back in the Nadroga side and played at openside flanker.

The Stallions had rising star Jack Volavola leading the charge from fullback while an impressive

Peceli Nacebe was at No.10 as he combined well with veteran No.8 Eremasi Radrodro.

This Saturday’s Skipper matches: Nadroga v Naitasiri, Northland v Jack’s Nadi, Rewa v Namosi, Tailevu v Ram Sami Suva
