Jasper Williams High School tops the girl’s medal tally after Day One.

Defending Lautoka Zone girls champions Jasper Williams High School is on track to defend the title.
At the end of the first day, JWHS bagged 13 gold medals,12 silvers and 8 bronze at Churchill Park, Lautoka, Today.

Behind them is Natabua High School with 6 gold, 6 silvers and 6 bronze medals while Central College Lautoka has 3 gold medals, 4 silvers and 2 bronze.

In the boy’s division Natabua High School leads with 15 gold,13 silvers and 8 bronze medals followed by Central College Lautoka with 4 gold,4 silvers and 8 bronze medals.
In third place was Pandit Vishnu Deo Memorial College with 3 gold medals and 2 bronze medals.

Lautoka Zone president Mahendra Nadan said the two top schools are competing for the top spot.

“Everything started on schedule but we are not counting out the other schools like Pandit Vishnu Deo who managed to win three gold for the boys even though they have only 15 athletes. The other schools are Tilak High School and Central College,” he said.

Nadan said 11 schools had taken part. The competition continues tomorrow.
