U15: Nasinu On Track, Ra Upsets RKS

Nasinu Secondary School Panthers is on track to defend the Fiji Secondary Schools Under-15 rugby league title. This was after they beat Ba’s Xavier College Sea Eagles 24-10 in the quarterfinal clash at Garvey Park, Tavua, this morning.
What happened: The Panthers took the lead in the 5th minute with a try to hooker Mitieli Delaitubuna. Eight minutes later, dummy half Josateki Caucau scored a try for the Sea Eagles to level the scores 4-4.
In the 25th minute, Panthers prop Filipe Qali increased their lead with a try and the conversion came from Akuila Seduadua.
Halftime: Panthers 10-4 Sea Eagles.
In the second spell, Marika Dreketirua came off the bench to score with just two minutes of play with Seduadua adding the extras. Five minute later forward Josaia Naco added another try and Seduadua landed the conversion to make it 22-4.
The Sea Eagles was penalised and Seduadua added another penalty to extend the lead to 24-4. Towards the last minute of play, Sea Eagles lock, Watisoni Naisogo, scored a try with the conversion from hooker Nacanieli Neisau.
Comments: Nasinu Secondary School coach Etuate Volavola said: “We still have a lot of areas of concern to improve on. But at the moment the base outcome reflects our hard work throughout the week.
Xavier College manager Makelesi Raibe said: “It was a good game and the boys did their best, unfortunately the result did not go our way.”
