A formal update on the progress of Fijian Holdings’ $65 million tower, will be issued next month.

Fijian Holdings Limited’s, Group Chief Executive Officer, Jaoji Koroi, made the comment yesterday.

Construction is still underway at the 18-storey tower along Gordon Street, which was scheduled to open in March this year.

However, good progress has been noted with the pace of construction since the late-November, 2020, report on a nine-month setback.

The tower – which will include two floors of car parks – faced delays on the back of the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Material and manpower were concerns at the time.

“We have some issues with the labour skill out there,” Fijian Holdings said.

An artist impression in three dimension designs was expected to be released by the first quarter of 2021, for the benefit of potential tenants.

While the company said it received a whole lot of interests back then, the market was the concern.

Tenancy at the tower would be directed at diplomatic missions.
