Fijian Paralympic Iosefo Rakesa won Fiji’s third gold at the Pacific Mini Games on Thursday.

He won the gold in the ambulant javelin where he threw a personal best of 36.93metres.

Two more gold medals were won on the same night. First, by the 4x100m men’s relay team who defended their title and Malakai Kaiwalu who won the men’s high jump. He jumped 2.00m.

Other medal winner; Samuela Railoa and Yeshnil Karan won bronze in the men’s 400m with a time of 48.59s and 5000m clocking a time of 15:37.15 respectively.

Tennis

William O’Connell won a bronze medal in the men’s singles competition after a hard fought match against Tahiti on Friday.

The women’s doubles team of Saoirse Breen and Ruby Coffin settled for a silver medal against Papua New Guinea.
