Israel Folau is relishing every moment he spends with the Ikale Tahi Tonga rugby side for the Pacific Nations Cup opener against the Vodafone Flying Fijians on Saturday.
“It’s awesome to be on a comeback with this Ikale Tahi Tonga team,” Folau told Tonga Rugby Union’s social media page.
“It’s about taking those opportunities and being together with the boys.”
He played on the wing, centre or fullback for Brisbane Broncos and Melbourne Storm in the NRL and NSW Waratahs in Super Rugby.
Folau has 73 Test caps for the Australian Wallabies.
Folau, who plays for Shinning Arcs in the Japan Rugby League One, is a definite starter in Saturday’s clash against the Flying Fijians.
The match kicks off at 3.30pm.
