USP: No Jab, No Exam

The University of the South Pacific (USP) students who will walk into examination venues from July 5 are required to be vaccinated.

This is after the Office of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor and Vice-President (Education) sent out an email to All Students and All Staff Mailing List.

The Email Read:

Dear students,

“In compliance with national COVID-19 protocols, unvaccinated students will not be allowed to enter any USP examination venue.

“If this restriction affects your ability to sit your final examination, please contact your course coordinators immediately.

“We wish all students every success in these last weeks of the semester.”

However, the Office of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor and Vice-President (Education) has chosen such a time in creating panic but not at the beginning of the semester, as students are few days away from Exams.

USP Manager Public Relations and Communications Natasha Begum has said that there are alternative actions in place for students who have not been vaccinated or have underlying medical conditions.
