Asnil Naidu has had a remarkable experience with his first car shows.

Being passionate about vehicle repairing, panel beating and painting since class six, his love for cars grew.

“This gave me a passion and dedication to build my future in this field,” Mr Naidu said.

The father of two said he had a racing car which is a Toyota Prius 1.8.

He named it YUJLUS (why are you jealous).

“This is my first show car and apart from this, I own two more cars which I use for my day to day work,” he said.

He said his race car had a sunroof, solar panel on the roof, modified exterior, wheels, lighting underneath the car and in the engine bay which was also painted and Lamborghini doors.

“There are a few Toyota Prius 1.8 in Fiji with both solar panels and sun roof.

“I always keep in mind to make my car unique in every car show, like changing the vehicle color or doing some modification,” Mr Naidu said.

He said he bought the car for $24k and he had also spent another $15k to $20k to do all the upgrading in it.

His first car was a Hyundai Elantra which he bought 13 years ago.

“My car has been presented in 6 car shows till now. My car has won 13 awards in these 6 car shows,” he said.

Mr Naidu said he got inspiration by working in other cars which were preparing for car shows and racing.

“So I thought of preparing my car for one of the car shows and when my car won three awards, it just boosted my passion for cars even more.”

He said he loved to try new modifications, search for more creativity which he could bring about, basically everything about cars.

“I just want to thank the almighty for his blessings which makes me successful all the time, my wife and kids for their support right through and all my friends and family for them endures support.”
