Dickson: Lucky Escape

The All in One Builders Nadi football side has learnt an important lesson in their 1-1 draw against Nadroga in the Digicel Premier League clash on Sunday.
Nadi captain Vereti Dickson said they cannot afford to play catch-up football.
Nadroga had led 1-0 throughout the match after Ravinesh Reddy slotted in the opening goal a minute before halftime.
This pressured the Nadi players but they managed to score the equaliser through William Komasi in the 67th minute.
This took it’s toll on the players as the match became scrappy and Nadi missing a penalty towards the end of the match.
“There is still a lot of work to be done but we were lucky to escape with a draw,” the veteran goalkeeper said.
Nadroga coach Joseph Nand said they had given the match away.
“It was crucial for us to get the maximum points but we will go back to the drawing board.
“We are happy with the result as Nadi is a good team.”
In other matches, Ba ended Suva’s winning run with a 3-0 drubbing while Rewa and Labasa played to a 0-0 draw.
Navua came from the behind to hold Lautoka 1-1 while Tailevu/Naitasiri and Nasinu settled with a 0-0 draw.
