Asgar Optometrists has relocated its Nadi operations from Naimotomoto to the new My FNPF Centre in Nadi Town, in a move that cost the company $100,000.

Asgar Optometrist is among the longest serving eye clinics in Fiji with four outlets in Suva, Ba, Lautoka and Nadi.

The $100,000 investment covered fittings and equipment for the new location.

General Manager, Vidhya Lakhan, said the development was cause for staff to celebrate, as the operations relocated from its office over 30 years.

“We took this as an opportunity to retool our staff from all branches,” he said.

Quality over Quantity

The company employs 15 staff members, including three eye technicians from India.

“While we are not big on staff numbers, we make up for it through the quality of service we continue to provide for over 60 years now.

The company started way back in the early 1950s.

“In keeping with tradition, we are considering expansion of business operations.”

“A small investment but for us as a small company, it’s a big investment.”
