Fiji Beat Tonga In Friendly Match

Despite winning 5-0 against Tonga, at Churchil Park on Tuesday night Digicel Fiji women head coach Lisa Cole now knows where to focus.
“The players need to improve their spacing and combination,” Cole said.
“It is so good they have finally gotten a match,” she said.
“We will be working on our spacing and combination plays, Our commitment to go forward with speed and making sure that we have people in support.
“Sometimes we’re sitting in tight spaces, we’re making it real compact never see rebounds.”
She added the team has been working really hard, to match up other teams.
“We need to work on taking our chances, we also need to just organise our play a bit better. Sometimes football is about chess. You try to get people to move into spaces.
Cole was happy with their defence; but she will make sure that they connect well in those moments.
Australia based Vanisha Kumar has been with the team for three weeks US-based Trina Davis came two weeks ago.
The side took the lead in the 15th minute through Kumar’s goal. 15 minutes later captain Sofi Diyalowai extended their lead to 2-0 before the breather.
In the second half, Fiji continued to dictate play with Ba’s Koleta Likuculacula scoring in the 51st minute. 10 minutes later striker Cema Nasau added Fiji’s fourth and 20-year-old Filomena Racea had the last laugh.
The side is scheduled to play the Cook Islands in its second friendly match later this week.
