Hardwork has paid off for the Navosa women’s team.

And they know the tough task ahead of them as they qualify to the ANZ Marama Championship next year.

They defeated Nasinu, 34-29, in the semifinal of the Royal Tea Ranadi competition at Lawaqa Park, Sigatoka, last Friday, while Rewa beat Vatukoula, 49-7.

Navosa will take on Rewa in the final which will be confirmed on a later date.

Manager Paulina Ratuwara said they are up for a tougher challenge next year.

“Firstly we would like to thank God for the victory,” Ratuwara said.

“Its the end of a stage that we had worked hard for, all the sleepless nights, hardwork has paid off.

“There were struggles the women went through but it was all God that made it possible.

“We will try and work on our weaknesses knowing the Marama championship will be tough.

“This is a first for Navosa and we will do our best to win all our games,” Ratuwara added.
