Nakarawa For Castres, Eyes World Cup

Former veteran Flying Fijian lock Leone Nakarawa will be playing alongside Vilimoni Botitu, Adrea Cocagi, Filipo Nakosi and Josua Raisuqe in next year’s Top 14 competition.
It was confirmed the 34-year-old Fijian with 62 Test caps under his belt has signed up with Castres (CO) after a season with Toulon.
Nakarawa is determined to make a comeback and play for the Vodafone Flying Fijians in next year’s Rugby World Cup.
The club stated on its website: “It’s a very measured bet given the modest conditions in which he (Nakarawa) comes.
“His season in Toulon has left him hungry, but if he is confident. He is a player who can be very useful and help us to perform well on both national and European tables”
Nakarawa also stated: “That having the possibility of joining a club like CO is a challenge that cannot be refused.
“I’m going to find Fijian friends with whom I played in the selection and who will facilitate my integration.
“I want to do everything to take part in the next (year’s) World Cup, but I know it’s going to be a great season with Castres, which I can’t wait to discover.”
