FMF Names $250,000 Building after Long Serving Employee

FMF Foods Limited yesterday opened its $250,000 tea and locker room for its hard working and dedicated staff members.
The building was named after its longest serving staff, Jimi Taniela, the group operations manager.
Mr Taniela joined FMF in 1994.
He told himself that it was going to be his home for the rest of his life.
“I put my commitment to it and through my hard work, I was elevated to various positions within the organisation.”
He said he went abroad for the training as well as completed his MBA from the University of the South Pacific in 2013.
“I thank FMF for their support and contribution towards the staff. I am happy that the company has provided them with facilities as an appreciation where they now have a good place to eat and rest after hours of working in the factory.”
Meanwhile, having a tea room was also a concern raised two years ago by the group’s Chief Executive Officer, Sanjay Punja.
He saw the need to upgrade the facilities and provide a proper tea room and lockers for all the hard working and dedicated staff of the company.
“This is a way to reward Jimi Taniela and all the staff for their performance and their dedication to this company,” he said.
“For any company to succeed, it’s about teamwork and the relationship between the management and the workers.”
