RFMF Official Facebook Page Hacked
The Republic of Fiji Military Forces Facebook hack post.

The Republic of the Fiji Military Forces (RFMF) will strictly monitor its social media platforms after the official RFMF Facebook page was hacked on Saturday.

RFMF Commander, Major-General Ro Jone Kalouniwai said whoever hacked its official Facebook page had removed the post a few minutes later.

The post outlined a reminder to Fijians about the election and encouraged everyone to vote and to do so without fear or intimidation.

The post said: “Election is around the corner. You and all your eligible family members are encouraged to vote. Do so without fear or intimidation for whomever you feel is the right person to lead your next Government. Do not be bought with freebies and handouts.”

Major-General Kalouniwai added there was a fake page being created using the RFMF logo.
