New Round of Voter Registrations August 1 to September 3

The Fijian Elections Office (FEO) will be conducting another round of voter registrations from August 1 to September 3 this year.
While making the announcement yesterday, Supervisor of Elections Mohammed Saneem said the plan was to run the registration drive for five weeks.
“As part of this campaign again, we wish to reach all the villages, settlements and urban centres that we did in the last drive once again,” Mr Saneem said.
“Our teams will be providing voter services to enable all Fijians to register for the 2022 General Elections and to update their voter card details such as name, residential address or to update to the new voter card.”
He said after the last voter registration drive, the majority had contacted the Fijian Elections Office stating that they missed out.
“If you have not updated your voter card, you will now have another chance in the month of August.”
“If you have turned 18 recently and you haven’t yet registered, you can do so in the next drive.”
“For new registrations you will need you to bring a valid photo ID. In the absence of a valid ID, we will require you to come with your parents who must be registered voters so that they can verify your identity.”
“If you have changed your residential address, this will be an opportune time for you to update your polling venue to your current residence.”
He added that the FEO was ready for elections, but was ensuring that all Fijians entitled to vote were ready by registering to vote.
