Ba Company Seeks Government Help To Start Water Bottling Business

The Ba Holdings Company Limited has sought Government’s help to start a water bottling business.
The company had asked for monetary support to help implement the business and other pending projects too.
“This is for our future and we need the Government to start the business,” said Turaga ni Vanua o Ba, Savenaca Nabeka while speaking to the Prime Minister during the Ba Provincial Council meeting on Wednesday.
The idea has been in the pipeline for three years after the Mineral Resources Department conducted its assessment on the possible project.
“We also need the Government to help us with our EIA (Environment Impact Assessment) report.”
“We do not have the money to properly implement this business, we know it will work.”
Mr Nabeka said they have set aside 14 hectares from their native land to be a business site.
He said a businessperson was waiting to partner with them, indicating a possible boom for the business.
In response, Minister for Lands and Mineral Resources, Jone Usamate, said the ministry would look into the matter and revert back to them.
Meanwhile, Ba Holdings Company Limited comprises more than 20 districts in the Ba Province lead by Tui Ba, Ratu Filimoni Nale.
