Thank You, Fiji: Feakes

Outgoing Australian Ambassador to Fiji, John Feakes, has thanked the Fijian people for their resilience and hospitality during his term in Fiji.
While delivering his farewell remarks on Thursday night, High Commissioner Feakes described his five-year tenure in Fiji as one of the most memorable and greatest achievements in his diplomatic career.
His farewell reception was held at his residence in Suva.
Prime Minister, Voreqe Bainimarama, attended the farewell reception cocktail for the outgoing Australian High Commissioner to Fiji.
The head of Government was joined by Chief Justice, Kamal Kumar, Speaker of Parliament, Ratu Epeli Nailatikau, Attorney-General and Minister for Economy, Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum, cabinet ministers, members of the diplomatic corps, and senior civil servants.

High Commissioner Feakes was very instrumental in the successful signing of the Vuvale Partnership and through his sound leadership, Fiji and Australia’s bilateral relations were further strengthened in the areas of defence, sports, trade, and tourism.
