Bliss Foods and Beverages operated and co-owned by two locals is a must when it comes to local juice lovers. Amit Yashwardhan and his friend, who is out of the country had been operating their small business for the past three years.

Mr Yashwardhan, a student at the Fiji National University pursuing a bachelor of education said their business had managed to pay some of his Tertiary Education Loan Scheme (TELS) debt.

“After starting this venture of ours, I have been able to save money for myself and also pay back a huge amount to TELS,” he said.

“I resumed my studies in semester one this year and managed to be a private student by paying my own tuition.”

The business officially started in 2019 through the RoC Market.

“My friend and I are like two extroverts that like to meet people and socialise, attend social events or even carnivals,” Yashwardhan said.

“So as we grow with this business, we are managing well in terms of expanding our business.”

One year after they officially started, the duo managed to open an outlet in November 2020 at MHCC food court in Suva.

“When we started this business, we really didn’t know how big it would get.”

“First at the RoC Market then we started to get a lot of feedback from the public on how good our juice mixes were,” he said.

All their juice mix ingredients are locally produced.

“We wanted to ensure that we are also doing our bit to help other local businesses,” he said.

“In doing so we buy the lemons and other produce at the market.”

“Our variety of beverage mixes are not from the internet or anywhere else, we often do small experiments at home and if we pass, we introduce it.”
