Team Fiji Women Remain Undefeated

The Fiji Women’s tennis team remains undefeated after Day Three of the Punjas sponsored Pacific Nations Cup 2022 at Nadovu Park in Lautoka yesterday.
Fiji made a clean sweep over Cook Islands in round three of Pool A in the morning.
Fiji’s sensation Ruby Coffin defeated Timeri Wearing 6-1, 6-4 while Saiorse Breen defeated Lilian Maui 6-0, 6-0.
In the ladies’ doubles, Breen and Grace Debalevu were too strong for their opponents Maui and Timeri Wearing.
Breen said: “We are treating each match as a final.
“We will continue to stick to our game plan, this is proving well for us.”
“We look forward to the rest of the match, we urge our fans to come in big numbers to support Team Fiji.”
When this edition went to press, Fiji was still playing PNG in the men’s category, their third round of games in the tournament.
Oceania Tennis Federation (OTF) Executive Richard Breen said: “I thank Tennis Fiji for hosting this event again.
“We should also thank Punjas for not only supporting the event this year but during the time I was the president and even before that.”
The Pacific Nations Cup will end tomorrow.
