Fiji women’s team made up of Ruby Coffin and Saoirse Breen Fiji faces Northern Mariana’s in the women’s final of the Punjas sponsored Pacific Nations Cup 2022 at the Regional Tennis Centre in Nadovu, Lautoka today.

This is after an incredible performance by the duo who outclassed top seeded Samoa to take a 2-0 victory in the women’s singles competition yesterday. They have been undefeated in the tournament.

Team Fiji led by Sugar City’s Ruby Coffin defeated Mahina Warren 6-3, 6-3 while Spain based and number one seed Saoirse Breen defeated Eleanor Schuster 6-1, 6-0 in a cliché.

Coffin said that she has been enjoying her game alongside teammate Breen who had been on fire since Day One in the court.

“We are looking forward to the finals. I hope to pull this through.”

Northern Marianas defeated Cook Islands 2-0 to advance to the final.

Vanuatu defeated Papua New Guinea to settle 2-1 in the fifth and six-playoff.

In the men’s competition, Samoa will face Tahiti in the final.

This was after Tahiti defeated Northern Marianas 2-0 while Samoa beat Vanuatu 2-0.

Hosts Fiji struggled right throughout the tournament lost to Cook Islands 2-1 in the 5th/6th playoffs.
