The element of surprise was Labasa football team’s weapon as they thrashed visitors Ba 4-0 in their Digicel Premier League clash at Subrail Park, this afternoon.

The Babasiga Lions scored two quick goals through Ratu Anare and Christopher Wasasala for a 2-0 lead. They never gave the Ba the chance to settle down as applied on the pressure to the delight of their fans.

Just before halftime, Wasasala slotted the ball past Ba goalkeeper for a 3-0 lead at halftime.

Ba tried had to get back into the game but the Labasa defence led by veteran goalkeeper Simione Tamanisau kept them at bay.

Wasasala, then again stepped up to drive in Labasa’s fourth goal. The former Suva striker scored a hat-trick of goals as they celebrated the win.
